An Intimate Skiing Weekend with Every Detail Thought Of!

Well, Valentine's day is always very special in our household on many levels! It is our second oldest daughter's birthday on Valentine's Day so, truly, could any gift ever top the birth of your own child?

With that said, we use Valentine's day to celebrate her birth and how amazing of a wonderful daughter she is. This year is her 19th birthday and we will celebrate in style with a sophisticated homemade dinner that includes the best China, the most succulent of ingredients and her best friends along with her family. I know it's not romantic, right? But that is okay because this amazing wonderful daughter deserves to be celebrated on such a wonderful day! In turn she graciously and willingly takes her younger siblings for my husband and I to get away to celebrate after the hustle and bustle of busy restaurants and hotels that would interfere with the connection we long for and anticipate. Our daughter's quote "I would rather hear you guys romp than fight but I would rather take care of the kids so I don't have to hear either"

As avid skiers, we are anticipating a weekend of skiing, a cozy intimate stay in a rustic ski lodge that includes a very warm candle lit room with a very private intimate hot tub. We will embark onto some much needed and mutually given full body massages on our sheepskin by a fire that we give each other with the finest massage oils infused with essential oils of lavender, mint and patchouli to exhilarate and excite our senses.

Our food selection will start with ...
-Red pears with Brie and homemade rosemary crackers
-Oysters Rockefeller
-and Hot buttered lobster to share
-A chocolate fountain with fresh strawberries, mango, pineapple and papaya will encourage an intimate mood
-Sparkling mineral water infused with fresh lime and cranberries is sure to refresh and be exciting as the evening becomes intimate.

What happens next is not for public consumption. However, the following day will be left to sleep in and allow what ever to happen as the day progresses...Usually a late brunch style breakfast at the resort. More skiing would be fantastic but leaving the day open to choose to make use of a great room with a late checkout will be put to good use.

I will prepare the food needed for the evening ahead of time and bring it. My husband will take care of making sure we have everything else from candles to ski equipment.
