Fighting About Wedding Location

Question
[ Fighting about wedding location ] "I'm getting married for the second time. My future husband has never been married. We have fought over where the wedding is going to be which raised a few flags. He wants it in his home town where I'm not comfortable. There is no give. Knowing how I feel, he still won't even consider anything else. I NEED SOME HELP."

Answer
Yellow flags have been raised with us as well.

Why the resistance? It sounds like your husband-to-be is either getting "cold feet", and is raising unreasonable objections or barriers--or he is much too controlling! In either case--you need to talk and discover the root of the problem.

We don’t believe that the details of your wedding are really the root issues--they are merely the "fruit", or the surface problems. Even if you could compromise on the details of the wedding arrangements, there would be underlying problems to deal with.

We suggest you read the following articles together, and discuss them with each other. The responses will be very informative!

No matter how much you love your fiancé, remember, you must be able to build intimacy together to be truly happy!
